People’s lives are simple because they are born with only with their brains and bare hands but over the centuries this mental and physical ability expanded our ways of life. Humans replicate too fast like weeds. The world population from before were too far from the present. Because of the overpopulation, there are many branches of causes that will fall down to the problem like food, land and many other resources shortage. The fear from the depletion of natural resources pushes people to think for a solution. A genetically modified organism or GMO was invented to be a solution for some of these problems.
Genetically modified organisms are organisms which are experimentally modified using biological system and its derivatives to generate or add new trait in it. GMOs were invented to make human daily life better and easier. GMOs have many uses like in agriculture, medicine, environmental and may others.
In agriculture, genetically modified plants were used. Corn that grow faster and more bigger product produced, tomatoes that rich in some element that have specific use, and grains that turned into a golden colour and rich in beta carotene.
We all know that there are many people who suffer in different diseases. Genetically modified medicines are improved medicines that greatly help the people from increasing the rate of death. But having the decrease of death rate per year is one of the disadvantages of GMO in overpopulation.
Food and resource shortage is one of the top problems that will occur if a place is overpopulated. GM trees were researched to help people conserve the forest and also the GM animals.
Above all these helps that GMOs are giving us, there are still people who are against it. Many of them are all about the genetically modified animals. They say that people who experimenting these animals were way out of their lines. They dint recognize the law of animal rights. Arguments are also said to be hear in the genetically modified trees which is about the fast growth. They say the GM trees are too fast to grow and will be unstoppable like giant wild grasses.
Even GMOs are fairly discussed these days, people have each opinion and their own believes. We are humans with feelings but also humans with mind and body to make things like this. So are you up to answer my question? Do you agree with these GMOs?
